Figure1.Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human gastric carcinoma sections labelling FGF12 with purified PA00800HuA10 at 10ug/ml. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed using EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). Tissue was counterstained with Hematoxylin. Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB secondary antibody was used at 1/4000 dilution. PBS instead of the primary antibody was used as the negative control.

背景信息：FGF12 is a member of the FGF family. FGF family members play important roles in embryogenesis, angiogenesis, and wound repair. FGF12 lacks the N-terminal signal sequence present in most of the FGF family members, but it contains clusters of basic residues that have been demonstrated to act as a nuclear localization signal. When transfected into mammalian cells, this protein accumulated in the nucleus, but was not secreted. FGF12 plays an intracellular role in the inhibition of radiation-induced apoptosis. FGF12 is expressed abundantly in developing and adult nervous systems; therefore, FGF12 was thought to be related to nervous system development and function.
